Soon after the Christmas decorations get put away, you may feel your living space suddenly becomes a lot less exciting, especially during miserable January. If you can't face the paint brush just yet, the easiest and quickest way to breathe some life back into your home, as well as updating your interior, is to add some fresh natural accessories.

If you didn't already realise, the house plant is back in a big way. As our lives become ever more busy and out of touch with the natural world, it's amazing how calming a piece of nature in your living space can be.

Succulents have been the popular go-to for busy people with limited plant knowledge, as they survive on very little water. Leafy palm plants such as the areca are also a popular choice for aesthetic purposes as well having air purifying benefits.

Luckily, there's no need for a garden centre expedition,  as our favourite stores have also clocked the greenery revolution and now supply a large range of indoor foliage and planters. We've put together some of our favourites, all available at Octer.
